Walking near The Herdwick Inn
There are many walks either from The Herdwick Inn or a short distance away. The bus stops outside the pub and can take you to the start of your walk or you can just put on your boots and walk out the door.

Climbing Blencathra
Blencathra (or Saddleback) the most enjoyable mountain to climb and explore in the Lake District.

Helvellyn via Striding Edge
Helvellyn ‘by the Edges’ is probably the most recognized high mountain walk in the Lake District.

Skiddaw via Ullock Pike
There is no finer approach to Skiddaw than via the arched bow of the Ullock Pike ridge.
